ACTRESS Kym Marsh was among more than 200 guests and celebrities who took to the red carpet to celebrate the official opening of Hastings in Lytham on Friday, October 16. The event was a roaring success. Now under new ownership, the recently refurbished eating and drinking house threw a party to remember, with flaming torches at the entrance, canapés from award-winning head chef Warrick Dodds, complimentary champagne flowing, and music all evening from Fleetwood-based swing singing sensation, Howard Wing. Kym, the Warrington based singer and actress of Hear’Say and Coronation Street fame, took time out to pull pints of The Hastings real ale, which was launched on the night and has been created exclusively for Hastings by the head brewer at Lytham Brewery, James Booker.

“It was great fun to be part of the official opening night with so many people and I enjoyed meeting all the guests. It’s a really stylish venue and Howard’s music definitely gave the evening a top atmosphere.”
